April A to Z Challenge: A is for Art

20161106_174930
My first paint your pet of my dog Paige.

I recently started painting my own tarot deck. It is going pretty well. I finished the major arcana paintings and digital artwork, and now am working on essays about each card. Part of my inspiration is from the ubiquitous paint your pet classes floating around. I did two over the past year or so.

My husband is another inspiration. He is a visual artist, writer, musician, and all around talented, creative person. His creative works are all done in his spare time. He’s quite involved in the Mail Art community and is even curating a mail art show for a local gallery.

I am so proud of my husband and all he manages to accomplish while holding down two jobs, one full time. He has a lot on his shoulders because I am unable to work much and I don’t qualify for disability (there are several reasons why, which maybe I’ll talk about in a later post).

Anyway, this post is dedicated to my husband and his brilliant work. Below are two of his recent pieces “The kids though[…] and the private even. He’s a bit more talented than me. 😉

  1. Glad I stopped by through the Blogging from A to Z Challenge! Your husband’s work is inspiring and I love the picture you painted of your dog. You are both very talented!
